Rockaway Needs Us by Poppy de Villeneuve & Alex Braverman

i know everyone is super amped after the election, but please don’t forget that there are still people suffering after Hurricane Sandy. it’s hard to grasp how much damage Rockaway has suffered, but this video puts things into perspective.

i was planning to go out to Rockaway today and help because it is a place near and dear to my heart and one of my friends lives and works out there every summer. however, as you’ve probably heard, there is another storm hitting today that could cause flooding AGAIN. think about that for a second. watch this video, and try and imagine that area getting hit with flooding for a second time, while still devastated from the first. i can not even tell you how much this is breaking my heart.
