i live in new york city. i like film, photography, the internet, and lots of other things. and i have the best friends in the world. the end.

permalink I had (a very early) dinner tonight with Ryan, who was one of my best friends in London but who I’ve barely seen since. It was really awesome to see him because he’s one of those people who I can go a while without seeing, and when we get together, it’s like no time has passed. He also has outstanding taste in food and art, and knows more about music than anyone I have ever met. I was incredibly intimidated by him until I got to know him, but he is one of the greatest people I know and he’s someone I can actually be real with all the time.
Right now he’s working on this awesome project called The Abbey—its a recording studio / creative space that’s going to be down in North Carolina. It’s been Ryan’s dream to do something like this for so long, and I’m so thrilled it’s happening. They’ve got an investor, and already a waiting list of bands that want to record there. They’re having a big show sometime in April in Brooklyn, and MIGHT have Animal Collective as their headlining act. So dope! This is the kind of thing I would really love to get involved with if it was in New York.
I’ll have more details about the show soon.
